The Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP®) embodies ISMI®’s aim to provide the profession with the leading international formally-accredited diploma in security management at advanced level, with emphasis on developing and benchmarking security management practitioner skills.
CSMP® is offered exclusively by ISMI® The International Security Management Institute, and is formally accredited by the Ofqual-regulated UK Awarding Body SFJ Awards as the “SFJ Awards Level 6 Diploma for Certified Security Management Professionals (CSMP®)”.
Accreditation with SFJ Awards is considered to be the perfect fit as SFJ Awards is widely regarded as the foremost UK specialist body in security sector qualifications, and the current version of accreditation is the legacy of a successful 10-year partnership, ensuring continuity of the rigor and values that CSMP® has come to represent.
Furthermore, CSMP® is regulated by Ofqual, the UK Government education and qualifications lead body.
The CSMP® is specifically recognised by Leicester University as a pathway to the MSc in Security and Risk Management. See www.linkedin.com/pulse/true-value-csmp-qualification-from-ismi-csmp-msyl/?articleId=6631223669022617 for a case study.

What Is a (UK) Level 6 Accredited Diploma?
A Level 6 course is an advanced-level programme within the UK Qualifications Framework, equivalent in difficulty to the third year of a university undergraduate programme. Specifically, a Level 6 Accredited Diploma requires at least 370 hours of study.
A Level 6 Diploma indicates on the holder’s CV and communicates to potential employers that they have an advanced understanding of, and ability in, the topic at a sophisticated level.
