Lyon tutors and lectures in criminology and police science at university level and he consults on a freelance basis. Prior to joining Siemens, he was CSO for BMW South Africa. He is an exponent of an applied criminological approach to mitigate crime and/or its risks. Mike Williams is Head of Physical Security and Resilience for the Government Property Agency. He previously held a similar post in the UK government department leading the delivery of the largest transformation programme for the UK government estate. He holds direct responsibility for defining and establishing the security and resilience posture that has underpinned the programme’s functional design principles.
Mike has over 35 years’ experience managing and leading the delivery of infrastructure projects in the public and private sectors, initially with the Royal Engineers, then in the private sector in support of utilities companies protecting their Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), and, for the last 4 years, within the UK Civil Service.
